- Ceramic Art and Design
- Graphic Design, Visual Communication, and Branding
- Textile and Fashion Design
- Applied Arts, Glass Technology, and Material Culture
- Multimedia, Animation, Artificial Intelligence, and Interactive Design
- Engineering Design, Built Environment and Emerging Technologies
2. Manuscript Preparation
To ensure compatibility with our digital formatting and layout process, authors must adhere to the following technical requirements:
- File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted as a single Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx).
- Typography: Set in standard 12-point Times New Roman font.
- Spacing & Layout: Use 1.5 or double-line spacing with standard 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides. Paragraphs should be clean and clearly separated.
- Length: Following standard digital indexing practices, manuscripts should be between 3,000 and 6,000 words total (inclusive of abstract, keywords, references, and appendices).
- Abstract & Keywords: Submissions must include a concise abstract (150–250 words) and 3 to 5 keywords for indexing.
3. Citations and Referencing
- Style: All references, citations, and in-text formatting must strictly conform to the American Psychological Association (APA) Style Manual, 7th Edition.
- Notes: Explanatory footnotes or endnotes should be kept to a minimum and integrated cleanly using Word’s built-in referencing tools.
4. Anonymization for Double-Blind Peer Review
To ensure an unbiased evaluation, all submissions undergo a strict double-blind peer review.
- Cover Page (Submitted Separately): Must include the full article title, author name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and complete contact details (email and phone number).
- Main Manuscript File: Must contain only the title, abstract, and core body text. Ensure all author identities (including email addresses and orcid profiles where applicable).
5. Graphics, Images, and Illustrations
- Quality & Format: High-resolution digital figures, plates, and illustrations must be embedded directly within the manuscript where they are intended to appear. They must be rendered in high-quality JPEG or PNG format (minimum 300 DPI) to ensure clarity for digital distribution.
- Colour Data: As the journal is primarily published online, sharp colour illustrations and data visualizations are highly encouraged and will be reproduced digitally at no extra cost to the author.
6. Publication Cycle & Access
- Continuous Online Publication: Approved, vetted manuscripts are published online continuously throughout the year under a digital-first model.
- Archival Prints: Compiled print editions are generated at the end of the annual publication cycle. Authors may request archival hard copies at a prescribed production and shipping fee.
